long and narrow dwelling design with a provocative shape

Casa Haines is designed by architect Christopgher Polly on a small lot of 115 square meters in Sydney, Australia. The project is based on a complete renovation of a single story family house.
This building is constructed to fill the standard family needs with a bathroom, a bedroom, an open kitchen and dining area, a study room, laundry room, an outside deck and a garden. The architectural platform ensures a passage who makes the link between the new part of the house and the old one with a great structure of residence that allows a natural ventilation system.
The 58 square meters slanted roof brings the natural light in the house with the help of the strategically placed windows.
