mathieu lehanneur + ana moussinet: JWT agency

french designer mathieu lehanneur has completed 'JWT agency' for the
paris subsidiary of the international marketing communications brand.
designed in collaboration with ana moussinet, the space looks to reflect
the contemporary working methodology of the company.

loosely broken into areas of brainstorming, meeting rooms and game
spaces, the overall environment is arranged to optimize the capabilities of
the employees and promote creativity among workers. porous divisions
between work, play and relaxation are further emphasized by malleable
furniture configurations that suite a range of group and individual activities.
a mass of black tar acts as a coffee bar and additional work space while
marking the entrance from the lobby into the main office.

in the lobby, miniature landscapes of variously sized stools consume the
space to provide informal seating. the geometric forms are counter balanced
by an series of hanging plants, developed with the artist group scenocosme
that play music when someone brushes against them.  grass-like pathways
navigate around walls, columns and groups of furniture, leading visitors and
workers deeper into the agency.

private cavern-like volumes contrast the milky-white walls and floors of the
internal shell, acting as soundproof meeting rooms. the rocky masses - composed
of pulped recycled paper from the office - are separated from their surroundings,
providing a sense of division to the otherwise continuous space.
